* Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region! j3 M. I* Y1 D2 g! i7 }8 D% o, Z# L
* Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group# s! I) w4 `. Y. m5 G
* Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators h* A, j/ c, E7 v
* Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations2 T o8 j( w( i
* Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
& j" ^; Z* p8 W& K* N * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses

* Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports

* Supports University of Alberta campus organizations for sexual minority students and gay-straight student alliances in local high schools and communities

* Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline3 C" b: V7 c# T8 e, V
* Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
$ i m! z0 W* C4 B * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies! n( E, k3 L5 E" t0 D
* Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs
% D9 N4 x6 c2 f4 U2 y/ ]7 Z * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community
