Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Reports to: National Sales Manager4 ^: W; w+ h+ T

Major Responsibilities: 9 D" W; ]+ g/ R" h, h- A$ a8 E
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.3 |1 c, Z3 ]. [! ~* Q
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.0 {0 p, C: ~. l6 P7 l2 M
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. " |6 P9 A/ Z" D1 H% `, j
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.5 I8 {4 _7 C, J1 S9 V
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.2 E3 H' n. o! c. o
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.

• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
) Q$ G2 ?9 h# V& D1 h• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
+ V ]3 `8 _2 ]1 R6 x& w; s$ ^% Y• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
0 r! I( c- Q3 I4 F• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
$ c c4 T0 W# _ R/ ]• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
. [* ^# ~& [( T ]6 o$ @5 l• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

Qualifications:+ C X" B" D8 u+ { v
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
% T# H- R& F$ o' U. b P• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. ! n) P9 K& a& t. _
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
1 h! Q( ]$ @( v9 K% J1 c1 g• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 9 \! _- m% o9 \- f6 O4 a9 {
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
4 m5 L$ f; C+ `' S, Y3 g• Not scared of heights: L& F/ P# u8 w- g
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
6 l4 F" v9 a. a: o7 m. c• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 9 r% |: M, ^/ [3 [9 E
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process." N# N! M0 C& x! o/ r
• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
