What to do if you are in a car accident

Step1. If possible, stop your car in a safe and visible place. If a car 5 I: T4 f7 Z6 J2 A& p
cannot be moved, turn on the hazard lights. Turn off the7 I" ]+ ^3 C* t( X0 j& S
ignition. Be careful when exiting your car.. [( y) \( r7 ~+ X* R6 u( P8 j2 Q

Step2. Determine if anyone is injured. Do not move an injured person.

Step4. If another vehicle is involved, get the car’s year, make, model

Write down names and addresses of other passengers or

Step5. The police officer will give you a copy of the collision report.5 O- z: v7 l k6 @4 M! X

Step6. Cooperate with the police, but do not admit guilt for the $ q, \# q* Q, I# M
accident in any way. You may be required to show proof of % i1 r: X' B* Q% Y
insurance, but do not reveal how much coverage you have.

hazards, road conditions and driving speed. Draw a picture of

skid marks and determine the point of impact. Note any damage! H, B/ i! m- f$ K2 c# n" Z( g

Step10. Report the accident to your insurance agent or insurance
