FAVA is currently looking for a Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant to join the FAVA team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization 3 o; c5 @ ~* @
whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media 3 g5 R, U( F5 P. {0 h1 d+ \* K G
artists from Northern Alberta.

2 R' S% o# S8 CFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
2 y3 i g' g) q, @* p. B4 o0 I) memerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video D5 p! I! ?+ f- d- z; _
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 2 ^$ p9 [- @- K& }" N
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
, L2 L& ]7 N) X8 r' L1 wscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 3 }1 X4 Q& F6 f
Alberta.

Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by 3 q- T. O1 I0 {% V( D6 H
assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. - v' o. z, O. l; N) S

Duties:
; I9 X8 A' F o) z; n- Assist with research on acquisition grants 3 M4 o e9 A# F- _ u: v
- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities & G3 m6 I4 q, q3 K Q3 z' ~
- Assist with equipment maintenance
; y/ V' a; Q7 ^7 p& V- Assist with production logistics for programming events & M$ F7 A. R, S' U; O4 p# P
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 9 T8 t- x. Q( s8 `
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable - y/ R$ a: ~9 e- P: Q8 f
- Provide vacation relief 9 g& Z" F0 w6 g- X* i

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
