FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
\" m7 c5 u; qsummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
/ k ]8 l1 e7 u/ e! V/ {+ Isupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern 5 Q1 C" p4 u2 n/ o* J

6 ^5 h9 ]# f2 h* i. r; j3 IFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

2 z5 w6 ~' T6 K7 z% rand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a

$ i1 t. E& l" o# T" n2 U# DJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the U1 a' x B* a o2 n& x
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
; g: b- C3 h6 ]/ Y% d/ x; y& ?well as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books

1 j$ s/ M. Q k! B5 n l" `* \- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ; \9 k/ X8 p9 N m# x* `' r6 Z

- Strong organizational skills
' ^! R! B- p3 T4 f$ I/ ~# B/ B- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
