The Salvation Army Community & Family Services exists to help those with physical, emotional, and spiritual needs without discrimination. We offer programs such as emergency food hampers, breakfast and lunch for clients, chapel, teen /adult crisis lines and counseling services to people in need.

' [# x) X; {- bContext: The Volunteer Coordinator is a member of the Leadership Team, reports to the Director of Community Ministries and is a support to all Community and Family Services programs downtown plus 2 satellite offices. The Volunteer Coordinator will look at existing volunteer programs and strengthen them in accordance with our Strategic Plan. 6 r% Z9 L4 I) |0 D: x$ E4 E% N7 H

Responsibilities: Identify and develop new volunteer initiatives and ensure existing programs are operating within policy. Researching and follow up on grant proposals. Organizes small to large special events such as volunteer appreciation and works with team as the lead of the Christmas Kettles Program. f1 B4 B6 y9 P& y9 E

Qualifications: Completed or working towards post secondary education in Volunteer Management or Human Services, minimum 1 year experience in all facets of Volunteer Management, good leadership, interpersonal skills. Sensitive to issues of economic diversity. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to independently follow through on programs./ E( J# N3 U( Z: g' e
