Receptionist

The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

Reception
0 R; u1 L8 R1 x• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors
B4 S& U$ [) T' V• Answer multi line telephone system. K: z: k9 w# D$ h5 d
• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
: X6 k2 L9 A1 t. r* c• Arrange courier services for all departments7 X( y) v! g4 ]1 W0 t
• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail

• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
) E9 L" F2 ]6 W" G2 }; s• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration/ D# D; t8 J& G% j! j# \% X
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers
2 a/ T" \6 T+ E* Q& B. x& t1 ` E. v• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution: V5 Q k& n w. `) j0 ~ P6 V
• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training2 Q. E" ]+ L2 D; d
• Process payments for ticket orders and registrations

• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.% }3 ?9 o9 F5 c6 E1 M; t
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset

• Mindful of need for accuracy, detail and discretion
