Description:   Our client, a major EPC firm, is looking for a Drafting Coordinator to work with their Transportation team in Edmonton.
) M$ w& t2 f7 t' ^3 [& l
7 J0 J' x) S" `- {This fast-paced environment is in need of your exceptional organizational skills to coordinate their projects between the design team and the drafting team, and assist with making the department more efficient as the work load steadily increases. Your leadership skills will be utilized on a daily basis as you go through decision making processes and delegate projects accordingly.

" L, h$ n' h0 S/ q0 u' MYou will be working with all areas of the department from Estimators to Engineers right through to the drafting team to ensure that projects are being completed accurately and in a timely manner to meet the stringent deadlines of the clients.

: E% _4 `% m9 P! C; V7 Y% WRequirements:   We require a superior leader with proven supervisory skills in a fast-paced environment. You will be coordinating projects between all divisions within the department, so your team-building and communication skills have to be exceptional. You must also have proven planning skills to work on the necessary scheduling and delegation of projects within the team.

9 o: j6 b/ |6 _2 e1 N0 `5 N2 GDue to the nature of the transportation projects being completed, you must have a strong understanding of provincial and federal transportation regulations, with a minimum 7 years related experience and a C.E.T. designation in Alberta.
- o' U  ~1 J$ g1 oThe primary software you will be working with is Micro Station and AutoCAD, so your skills and familiarity with these programs should be highly refined.

As a team leader, you will also be required to work with the Human Resources department in hiring drafting technicians to work under your supervision, and as such, you will be expected to train these personnel to fit into the environment and contribute effectively to projects.
