The Position: The RDC - Alberta is responsible for the ongoing development of special events within the province. Key responsibilities include event planning, execution and evaluation. Working closely with the Regional Manager, Prairies & NWT and the Community Development Manager; the Revenue Development Coordinator supports the planning and implementation of Muscular Dystrophy Canada's regional fundraising initiatives for the purpose of growing the financial and human resources to support the mission of the organization. 6 v. , i' d. ^" ^) n- U7 PBased in Edmonton, this position supports the continuous development of community based networks & partnerships throughout the province of Alberta. 7 x- V/ a' o* b& M- G

Competencies Required: The successful candidate will possess a relevant post-secondary degree or diploma; 2 - 3 years experience in fund development, event planning and volunteer development. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent written/verbal communication, solid budgeting-financial management, and strong public speaking skills. K1 O: K9 L* r# f0 _! m4 e# M% k

In addition, the ideal candidate must have an ability to maintain strong relationships with the media, be flexible to manage the complexity of a role that is multifaceted, and have the capacity to respond to the changing needs of the organization. The position requires the ability to work with ease in MS Office Professional Suite. Awareness of health and disability issues and the ability to use Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge 7 would be considered an asset. " k) ?. e6 |* e: {% z- p
