As this Job Find is a pilot only, we will be evaluating its success and planning other similar events in future according to need and response. * M# p4 O0 |: H) |+ s

CCPE has released final reports from their three-part study “From Consideration to Integration”, with recommendations for associations to assist in the integration of foreign trained professionals. Many of these recommendations resonate with APEGGA’s initiatives to help IEGs in Alberta who, as our parents perhaps did, have come from other countries to start a new life. In spite of having one or more degrees and international experience, IEGs often require assistance in re-establishing themselves in their new country. - Z; j/ p7 D2 c4 W3 G$ `; t" k

Job Find combines a day of employment-related skills training with career and employment opportunities. Speakers will present tips and techniques for successful job interviews and provide suggestions for effective networking. At 4:30PM, participants will be able to offer their resumes to representatives of actively hiring companies represented at display tables. Participants will be job-ready, having completed any required language, technical or cultural training.

Due to the seminar-based format of the day, there is limited seating for 100 participants in Edmonton and 120 in Calgary. The fee for the all-day event will be just $10 to secure commitment but to avoid cost being a deterrent for anyone. 7 C4 X" W/ }- s6 f5 |" q, S
