JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES

The Job Placement Services program matches unemployed Albertans with employers who need to fill jobs. The program is designed for Albertans who have had trouble locating steady employment but who want to work.

To qualify, you must be legally entitled to work in Canada and be ready, willing and able to benefit from the program’s services.

Job Placement Services:

# {3 l2 `% C5 jassesses the match between a participant’s employability skills and available jobs + _& |0 _+ d- u- Y$ I+ f
teaches job search skills (e.g. self-marketing, resume writing, interviewing) ' {9 X5 O' r8 \2 K, J" y# {7 i' c
co-ordinates job placement into full time work opportunities 6 }6 a6 [ z+ r: I$ e
teaches job retention skills ; Z' O' B" R9 k. V
provides on-the-job support for participants during the first three to six months on the job
& w+ r0 I& T3 n s5 ~( B7 MWhile using Job Placement Services you will continue to receive Employment Insurance (EI) or Alberta Works Income Support benefits. If you are not eligible for EI or Alberta Works Income Support, you must use your own resources to cover living costs while participating in this program. |
