Why training only for new electricians, not all electricians?
" M e k1 H/ c- {* _8 A' B
. M' r `8 n# W* F9 f' X8 QMost of "old Chinese electricians” having been work on the Oil Sands for one year or two, whether they are currently in IBEW or not, are much better than average local Electricians with many years experience in Canada.

& L% J. y2 Z. F5 zWhy does this happen?- L2 v4 t! K5 P, @, s
1. They work extremely harder than local electricians and didicate to their jobs because they know it is not easy to get a decent job in Canada to support their family, and especially the situation like now, put all the Chinese electricians in a difficult time and every body is worried about lay-off at first couple days of job site and many... B8 v0 m9 G0 [2 ^2. They are willing to learn and are all fast learners. Their knowledge needed for the electrician job is more than local electricians. Almost 100% of Chinese electricians have university degrees including many with electrical engineering background. So they can understand electrical circuits, grounding systems and single diagrams…..for sure the safety rules as well, much easier than people with less educated.

For those Chinese electricians without electrical engineering background will keep up "under the pressure" and will get better and better if they want to be best electricians.

Only for new Chinese electricians and “will-be” electricians need on-tools training before they start doing electrical job in Canada.
