/ ?0 l( v( D0 Z6 M" {Abstract: Bissell Centre is a nonprofit community resource centre providing support to people living in poverty within a vision of neighbour helping neighbour. The Resource Development Officer is responsible for delivering the key strategies for raising funds for the organization. Results achieved by this key position are highly visible & directly impacts the organization’s ability to operate/meet client needs. The 2009 Fund Development goal is approximately $1,000,000. Responsibilities include: annual giving, major gifts, donor stewardship, grants & proposals, and support to special events and management of the @EASE dBase. 1 ?/ p0 `: Y8 H9 A' i+ v3 h! @

Education/Experience: Post secondary education in related area along with a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated fund development experience is essential. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Certification in fundraising is an asset.

Skills/Abilities: eexcellent written/verbal communication & interpersonal skills; knowledge/experience in donor stewardship best practices; strong team building & teamwork experience; strong computer (MS Office) + dBase skills (@EASE preferred); self-starter with an internal sense of direction; results-oriented; knowledge/experience in poverty, homelessness and Edmonton’s urban core a plus.
