SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
operation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
: y; W+ @! `- i! t9 N/ Jthat the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
" _) Q: T4 n: s2 Kcustomers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
the Store Manager.
' Y* |! T& r' z; iDuties and Responsibilities
7 S. M1 [: w* o/ c4 P/ eCustomer Service
1 P+ k5 ]. J- ?4 W• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
• Assist customers find what they are looking for
• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
stock
# B7 |9 Z& P# E6 I• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
' G  S/ A5 `  A( c* F; k' Alooks under 25 years of age
Store Responsibilities
/ ?0 b+ E" n. o0 ^, P• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
; P% [0 \9 G7 u• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
2 d5 d; z+ J5 M; {' [0 y$ r• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times
3 J4 K1 t" T2 c, }0 J• Close the store (key holders)
2 n0 ~9 I& G  {# `6 y* G/ K• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager
Qualifications
# w% N3 ^' B5 F: P• High School graduate
$ i" ^& n: T1 k" ~• Criminal record check.
" ?0 y- B# @* ~• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
, v* W* P: I# S0 r( o  x3 n• Good problem solving skills
/ }8 H0 `6 t# T1 e" L. |. Q0 Q• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies
Working Conditions
• Fast paced environment
4 W0 t' Q4 [7 ]0 L• Demanding workload
Physical Requirements
• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
2 _! }7 L' N; t! u2 l" Z! `) h• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
• Standing for extended periods of time
# ?( [& `, Y4 o• Comfortable climbing ladders
