We seek a qualified technologist to work with our fermentation team that is responsible for the execution of research, scale-up, and production of fermentation processes. Major areas of responsibility may include set-up, sterilization, operation and clean-up of fermentation vessels, process and packaging equipment; filing and maintaining calibration, qualification and test records; collecting and recording fermentation and DSP data and operating parameters; testing of lab samples; routine maintenance of fermentation vessels, process and packing equipment; and calibration and qualification of lab and plant equipment. Candidates will be asked to undergo a security screening.

U4 B* h0 x% _& q" RCandidates require a technical diploma in chemistry or biological sciences or a Bachelor of Science degree, some related experience, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the position including working with chemicals and solvents as well as standing and lifting for the majority of the work day. Excellent computer skills and communication skills are required. ( `% ]$ h) C4 S7 j! d# `

This is a temporary thirteen-month position. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience, and is included in the bargaining unit.
