Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

* g- C& l% p! w/ [0 LWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
7 U. E" N% k0 `Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
; ], @$ g2 O$ }5 k6 ?Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
; t$ v6 X3 q$ F# L+ MMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  

Qualifications

, U3 b' y3 A$ C  X. n6 N: MGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
/ q( K  N! D" J# x& z" vMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
! S6 T- Q% H3 b5 [( ?Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
9 o, ?, H& c, D( c, aUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
/ m, q4 G8 v3 Z8 c% ?, k7 FUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
6 U: F3 R; t+ v) Z9 T; mAbility to work independently as well as in a team
