Key Responsibilities & Duties:

" E; x) u. m0 ]( ^ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
; S( v1 |3 }: _8 K2 [! ^1 d! A, c Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.6 T- t4 B+ O9 S& h% P
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.1 p5 N0 S$ o+ R: x
 Completing required paperwork.
, a+ ^( l3 m, V9 o4 D' Y o Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.

Qualifications:+ Q. _. J+ E# l/ T' F. C
7 s% B! }( {* N8 C Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
) D% j) ]! [- h `: E1 Q: S6 M+ r Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
( I4 {/ W/ D5 }, f* r) R1 T Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.3 v# \$ O2 e4 j( M `" [! T
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.. b( }$ ?) _6 i1 }" d1 O' A
 Knowledge of community resources.
! n6 Z/ Z4 r1 u- M Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
; _: ]4 b- I8 h1 q* I Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. , I0 D: y( S T8 Z8 _ X# \" z
There is a 3-month probationary period.
