SEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada. $ u- [8 M9 {: L: z" E3 o
SEDI is staffed to: # x* N5 l7 p, n1 I9 u" _
• conduct socio-economic market and policy research . f* Y6 _$ `% u% N. Q
• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
6 Q2 w# i. S* s# E# b% g• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
0 t( P1 J. H; V$ W) v! x$ Y0 P• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs
8 {7 Y9 o7 ]8 s• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits

Primary Responsibilities and Activities: " T: b6 Y/ d- Z' F
• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
" ^7 ~4 v6 P" \: a( ^8 K" `9 b• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) 5 N0 N$ z* D F
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
- u$ q) }4 s% D' c5 c3 o• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
9 E( q. |* w& O! K+ L6 ]- [• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
- {% H: h. t& y, x• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required
9 o2 `) G4 d; [" T% u6 N, B1 FOther Activities:
! C9 G* ?1 q! W$ @• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
( ?- T- q) N Q6 U5 r8 f• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
6 ^9 E2 R, `1 r0 Y- @• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting 5 [; @8 ?- e$ ?: z$ x! }) P+ N
• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports ! P! Z) c, ` F0 p& g2 X+ L) O
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning
+ V) P+ s7 W- ] T( F9 DPrimary Qualifications:
, D! N* |6 |3 v; o• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
/ V2 f- ^% I4 h# W• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
0 J: x! P4 ]) L- I" Q; z4 h7 O• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training
; A. c/ d+ p) h! M3 _$ _• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities

% M3 D- u2 j7 J! R" R. n& w• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc

• Content / curriculum development experience
9 g8 ?) P$ R! \• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners

• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc. $ J$ c) v& ]7 Q. L2 A
• Ability in French (both written and oral) is an asset ; F1 E: b( J6 f1 {! T; w. F \
• Policy research skill set is an asset
