An intense low pressure system is expected to develop in Southern Alberta east of Red Deer by Thursday morning. On the northern edge of this system a band of heavy snow will form extending from Grande Cache through the city of Edmonton and surrounding regions to the Lloydminster region. 10 to 15 centimetres of snow is expected by Thursday evening along this band. In addition the system will also generate strong easterly winds. The strong winds combined with falling snow will reduce visibility due to blowing snow. 2 S! `$ Q8 a% r h! k$ ]3 [6 ^8 W* _' L0 q
