Performance Tester/Analyst– Application and Information Systems

FUNCTION:
" y |- k3 K( A- BThe Performance Tester’s primary responsibility is to implement and execute performance testing scripts. The Performance Tester will also be responsible for profiling application code with a focus on underlying data collection, processing algorithms, and their overhead and precision. The performance tester will work closely with the performance test lead as well as interact with business and various technical teams throughout the process. g% B& c, N9 n$ ]" x

• Implement and maintain performance testing scripts and suites of scripts for various projects.! J+ d1 ~( J) k$ x3 [% K- S/ b
• Assemble and verify test data and test harnesses.4 W3 D4 y1 P, J! }# y- I; y
• Execute tests and document the results.3 Z; H' }, B4 _0 Y7 {
• Follow the timelines and requirements outlined in the test plan., O7 E! I" q7 P" k( j9 D
• Follow performance testing processes for implementation, execution and result analysis. . G: J( ~9 `6 K' C9 t: ]' g
• Assist with performance test requirements gathering, result analysis and reporting as necessary.; Y6 i: c$ j0 A; a& l# R
• Conduct code reviews to ensure applications are being developed efficiently and follow ABC standards and best practices.

Basic Qualifications:
, P7 g7 @" Z# k) a4 J• College degree in Computing Science, Software Engineering or related field.* P" o3 h$ K' b7 _; k
• 3-5 years of experience in test automation (can be combined with software development experience).# v y' _# [+ i2 n
• Experience with the HP LoadRunner product.! `# ^& Q7 a' r* n: t: C+ h
• Experience with the Oracle application server and the Oracle database server.7 r! ?7 ]% k& N% m! N& n
• Experience with performance, load and stress testing.
& S! L' [$ U7 i# W• Experience with application tuning and profiling.
$ y* U: ~8 g& H4 a3 ?• Familiarity with n-tier, 2-tier and Service-Oriented architectures. " i0 j/ }( [' N: Y9 ?" R
• Attention to detail, passion for software quality.# q+ x( @% Z2 J6 t7 k% V

Preferred Qualifications:9 @: D; t) B4 L% w" v2 k- d0 Q
• University degree in Computing Science, Software Engineering or related field.
! c; a& q) j% r g2 G3 z# ^2 j+ {6 D* c• Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Java).$ p& H0 _+ k6 {. t% r( @2 h
• Ability to design and develop automation tools if needed., D# v/ j9 y4 l! ]0 }2 U
• Expertise in software quality and testing methodologies.2 B$ B5 |/ X! Q% ^# D- S& {
• Extensive knowledge of web development and relational database concepts.
