Qualifications:

Completed a 2 year diploma in law enforcement from a provincially recognized institution
d9 J2 o( K2 z* O) x' KA minimum of 2 years related public contact experience including 6 months of bylaw or legislation enforcement experience + s, |% a* {! ?0 _3 j% M' ^
Considerable knowledge of and ability to apply Animal Control legislation, bylaw enforcement practices and investigation techniques # U, p4 ~$ I7 a& {6 t
Ability to control a wide variety of domestic and potentially dangerous animals utilizing appropriate equipment . i9 H/ W/ B7 Z7 ?) p+ Q7 S
The ability to enforce bylaws impartially and tactfully, often in difficult and/or confrontational situations {/ M/ |% f/ M# ?
Excellent conflict management decision making skills 4 k5 C8 m! `- Y+ W6 s! X
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- K7 k/ K( ]2 g5 `6 T, F7 f' }& CAbility to prepare reports and to accurately complete required documentation
