0 Z9 d M) ?$ P) ?* a/ }, SAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:- Z* ]) d6 e: ]* X$ K# U5 |3 _
" c5 A% ^$ ]; h: \' J9 R! V- k' ?0 y: L- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
' K. d& i; i1 v. n6 I- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. 7 r( H" Y5 k2 `& ~3 \' p% ?
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
: J. T" ~. D% b( W+ W& x- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
4 z# m- `7 `8 p- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. 5 X+ L5 c& m) S0 o8 S) q
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 5 T6 E; h8 ^. R0 T8 [5 G3 x
- Managing shift expense budgets. + C# N9 p9 e8 m3 S- n8 t# c

Experience and Education Requirements4 Y+ \0 G' M; p: F' N! p; R8 p- d' w4 O
& G- G& V1 w3 \7 Z8 r7 e! @
- Previous supervisory experience
+ B0 u8 Q; Z- G/ L0 u; R- o3 [- Strong leadership skills
+ P$ @( D* Z4 Y9 H- A minimum of grade 12 diploma ) Z% q2 b$ F0 o6 S# B1 V3 ]! m/ N" Z
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
% W" N' i0 v ~, Y- J- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations ; s( i" n! M3 Z# j+ m- r* U" h
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
